Sofia increases by 50,000 people annually. More than 60 per cent of the newcomers prefer to invest in new property, analysis shows. New buildings in Bulgaria's capital Sofia are
the most preferred property investment.
- The new buildings increased on average by 15% in 2006 with residential prices increasing by 10% in the 1st quarter of 2007, Bulgaria's statistics Institute announced
on 23rd April 2007.
- Sofia's residential market enjoyed a price increase of 4.42% in March 2007 alone.
- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will subsidise Sofia with €250 - €300 million annually over the next 5 years, said bank president Jean Lemierre.
